issue of immortality is examined in the novelTuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. Our class read the book
and wrestled with the issue. We then decided to watch the movie based on
the book. Following our viewing, we partnered with
classmates to create Power Point presentations to compare and contrast the
book and the movie. We put a great deal of hard work and creativity into
these presentations. In addition to learning to cooperate with our
peers, we have learned that a single story can be told using different
media. We now have a better understanding of how and why a movie producer
might alter a story before committing it to film. Most importantly, we have
