Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
Fifth graders Jess Aarons and
Leslie Burke are inseparable and their friendship transports them to a magical
land beyond their everyday lives in Lark Creek. Their imaginations take them to Terabithia, an imaginary kingdom
in the woods where they reign as king and queen.
Despite a tragic ending,
this story illustrates the true meaning of strength, courage and friendship.
Class
5C read the book and then decided to view the 2007 movie of the same name. Our
objective was to see how a single story could be told through different media.
We found there were many similarities between the book and movie. There also
were some great differences.
Our
Power Point presentations compare and contrast both versions of this wonderful
