2009-2010

What is the KTEF?

The Kingwood Township Education Foundation (KTEF) is a non-profit community organization of parents, administrators and school staff that is committed to fostering and encouraging creativity in educational activities by enhancing the core curriculum of Kingwood Township School (KTS).

How does the KTEF raise funds?

Thanks to the support of our community, school staff, students and parents, the KTEF raises funds through an annual gala and auction, sale of novelty items decorated with original student artwork, corporate gifts and private donations.  Funds raised benefit students in the form of grants for teacher-proposed educational programs, which are awarded twice a year.

What types of educational activities are funded?

Since 1999, the KTEF has funded approximately $175,000 in innovative programming for KTS Kindergarten through 8th grade students.  Please visit www.kingwoodschool.org for more information about these exciting programs funded for the 2009-2010 school year:

The KTEF strives to prepare our students for the future by facilitating programs that inspire a connection between textbook and real life experiences and that would not have been available in the traditional school budget.
